Urban Solutions: Compact Folding Chairs
Recognizing the need in urban areas for compact, stylish folding chairs, we designed durable premium teakwood chairs. These chairs are ideal for balconies and homes, providing a classy look while saving space.
Design Challenges and Solutions
The challenge was to create chairs that occupy minimal space when open, fit for balconies and compact dining/study areas, and maintain an elegant, frugal design. We aimed for simplicity, sturdiness, and ease of stacking.
After 5 prototypes and 2 months, we perfected the design without any metal mechanics, resulting in simple, sturdy spacesavers. These chairs adhere to the Rusteak Decadal promise, ensuring durability and heirloom quality.
The challenge was to make something which occupied less space on ground when open and hence fit for balconies and compact dining/study meanwhile keeping it Elegant in looks , frugal in design (to keep them aptly weighed ), without machines in pure Teakwood to last decades and easy to stack occupying minimal space and with a great sense of balance
Ergonomic and Space-Efficient Design
When in use, the chairs occupy just 22” x 18” of ground space and stand about 30” tall, similar to a dining chair. They offer a comfortable taper for long, leisurely sitting and fold tightly to occupy only 5-6” in depth when stacked.
Eco-Friendly and High-Quality Finish
Our chairs are made from reclaimed Burma teak, making them ecologically sustainable. The finish is Rusteak’s hallmark 7-step grind with Emporio sealants and PU, ensuring durability for decades. The edgeless form makes them safe for the elderly, kids, and pets.
