One of the few long lead projects we did. This took a good part of 14 weeks from Concept to execution. Here the medium had to be Old burma teakwood furniture including a dinner wagon, crockery cabinet , book shelf and a normal cabinet dating back to half a century. The wood was worth it's weight in gold, metal accessories which appeared rundown, however a fresh powder coat in matt black finish re-defined the looks and the perceived Character, as a consequence. Each of the pieces held nostalgia, old memories and hence we attempted to retain most of the pristine glory. We dismantled the old furniture, labeled each piece and then drew out the best fit solutions on this 17 feet wall . Modern day joineries, replacing the old 'wood in groove' pullouts with modern soft closing hettich channels, Respecting the room dimensions, we layered the structure in a fashion that the entrance to the room was unobstructed and held the amazing collection of ancient manuscripts. The section on the far right was reserved for the wardrobe space, dimensioned specifically for our Octogenarian Customer, below waist level kept all on channels to make accessibility easier.
Our finish, ultimately, was what added to the character. Our sanding rigor and emporio world class sealants and PU added to the charm - all the while making the cabinet good for the next 'half a Century' !

Material
Teakwood finished with our 7-step trademark PU process through M/S Asian Paints, using their premium world-class Emporio sealants and top coat Matt PU. Jute used to breathe out from old manuscripts while keeping them safe. Old retrieved wrought iron decorative batons.
